How the estimate works

AP Calculus AB and BC use a multiple-choice section and a free-response section. This calculator treats MCQ as 50% of the composite estimate and FRQ as 50%, then maps the result to an unofficial 1-5 range.

For 2026 FRQs, estimate each question out of 9 points after checking the released question set and any teacher review notes. Do not treat this as an official score report.

What to check after the exam

  • Use the official released FRQ PDF to identify the six questions.
  • Wait for scoring guidelines or trusted teacher walkthroughs before changing your FRQ point estimates.
  • Check your target college's AP credit policy separately because credit rules differ by school.
